Glamping pod in Devon: Nestled in a spectacularly stunning spot of east Devon with absolutely glorious countryside views and all the home comforts you could wish for, this picture-perfect pod is the place to get-away-from-it-all.

General

Pendragon Pod is the epitome of a hideaway, snuggled in a secluded spot on the edge of wonderful woodland, with beautiful countryside views and the relaxing sounds of birdsong and rustling trees all around. If that doesn't sound tempting enough, the interior of this unique retreat is just as enticing - step through the circular doorway into the delightful open plan living space, complete with all you could need for a comfortable stay. For starters, there is a snug sitting-area, perfectly positioned to admire the view and with a TV opposite it for cosy nights in. The small but brilliantly formed kitchen is equipped with all you could need to rustle up a scrummy supper, and there's a dining-area too. The inviting double bed is at the back of the pod and faces the doors to make the most of the view (lazy mornings with a cuppa are a must!), along with the handy shower-room.

You are more than welcome to explore the seven acres of enchanting woodland (known as Rag Coppice) next to the pod - keep a look-out for birds, foxes, badgers and Roe deer. If you aren't lucky enough to spot them by day, then you may be by night - the lovely owners (who live nearby but totally respect your privacy and very much leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace) have provided a motion-activated wildlife camera for you to use - this will be a holiday highlight for sure! Your four-legged friend is more than welcome to join you and will love the network of footpaths right on the doorstep as well as the super-sweet dog-pod. Dining al fresco is a must, with the gorgeous view as the backdrop, as is reading a book or having a snooze on the sun loungers before toasting marshmallows on the fire-pit under the stars.

Out and About

You may just wish to spend your entire holiday at this idyllic bolthole - who could blame you! - but if you can bear to tear yourselves away, there is so much to see and do nearby. Tick three counties off your must-visit list - Devon, Dorset and Somerset are all within easy reach, each as stunning as the other and equally worth exploring - as well as the infamous and magnificent Jurassic Coast. Ever-popular Lyme Regis is eight miles away, with its pebble and sandy beaches and numerous fabulous eateries, and the picturesque seaside towns of Seaton, Beer and Branscombe are well worth a visit too, along with majestic Forde Abbey and the beautiful Blackdown Hills. You will be well and truly spoilt for choice.
