General
When I fall in love, it will be forever…and falling in love with Rosie's Hut is inevitable - you'll be hooked from the moment you arrive. This spectacular shepherd's hut is set among acres of stunning grounds, surrounded by farmland and up close and personal to a variety of trees, animals, wildlife and flowers. Stroll along your very own nature trail through the woods and ponds, and spot the poppies, cornflowers or daffodils, or simply sit on the patio, enjoy the spectacular views, read a good book and listen to the birdsong. After dark, the hut's fairy lights will provide a magical atmosphere while you count the stars in the night sky above. Get ready to pour yourself and your partner some bubbles and unwind in the wood-fired hot tub - perfect for a relaxing evening after a busy day out.
Tucked up inside Rosie's Hut you'll adore the romantic atmosphere: quirky yet comfortable, with traditional planked walls, calming green paintwork and a natural wooden floor. At one end of the hut is a king-sized bed with gorgeous floral bed linen, reading lights and - ta da! - a window with a view of fields and sky as far as the eye can see. In the centre there's the cutest kitchen with a full-sized ceramic butler's sink, double hob, combination oven and plenty of worktop and storage space, with a folding dining table and welcoming wicker chairs. And at the other end is, joys of joys, a real en suite shower-room, complete with flushing loo and hot-and-cold water whenever you wish. There's even a heated towel rail! With books, ornaments and framed pictures, this really is a home-from-home, and let's not forget the nicest feature of all - a warming wood-burner, just the thing for creating a cosy atmosphere even on a bracing winter's day.
Out and About
What a great location! On the one hand, a quick trip in the car takes you straight to some of South Devon's most popular towns, while on the other you can get to loads of fabulous beaches in just a few minutes. How about Dartmouth, the historic naval town that has plenty of great places to eat, drink and shop till you drop? Or Brixham, Totnes and Kingsbridge, each of which has something special to offer, from arts and culture to unique attractions? Near Dartmouth you'll also find the remote and secluded small shingle beaches of Castle Cove and Sugary Cove, while other amazing beaches in the area include Blackpool Sands, where you can hire kayaks, body boards, paddle boards and wet suits, Slapton Sands, famous for its role in the Allied preparations for the D-Day landings, and the wonderful sandy beaches of Bigbury, Thurlestone and Salcombe. From water sports to a sunny day on a deck chair, there's something for everyone within easy reach of Rosie's Hut.
