Clifftop cabin with sea views in Cornwall: Views, glorious views! Thrilling, spectacular, breathtaking…they really don't get much better than this. Where could you find a nicer spot in which to relax in style than at this gorgeous getaway?
General
If you're looking for a spectacular location, stop right now: you've hit the mark. Panorama does exactly what it says on the tin. From this cliff-top retreat, a short walk along the coastal path and above miles of glorious sandy beach, practically all you can see is wraparound azure sea and endless skies. Breathe in. Breathe out. This is a real tonic for the soul, whether you're looking for a romantic retreat, a solo break, a new-baby celebration or some time away with your four-legged friend.
Cleverly, this cabin is designed around the views, with a fabulous floor-to-ceiling window creating a focal point in the open plan living-room/kitchen area, so you can enjoy the rolling waves and scudding clouds from the comfort of the sofa, while preparing a feast in the well-equipped kitchen or when enjoying a meal at the sleek dining-table. Push back the glazed doors and you're out on the spacious deck, enjoying the salty sea air and basking in the sunshine. It's hard to turn your back on these vistas, but inside the cabin you'll enjoy all mod-cons, including an oven, hob, microwave and fridge in the kitchen, a TV in the living space and a superlative shower-room with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and stylish modern fittings. The bedroom boasts a comfy double bed with starry views from the skylight above, and there are good-looking decorative details everywhere, from eye-catching light fittings to natty nautical accessories.
Out and About
From Panorama, a stroll down the steep and narrow path takes you to the incredible three-mile, dog-friendly beach of Whitsand Bay, never busy even in the height of summer. There are also lovely walks along the coastal footpaths here, all with glorious views, of course. Exploring this unspoilt area of Cornwall will lead to pretty villages (Kingsand and Cawsand are a must), charming seaside towns (Polperro and Looe) and grand, historic houses - Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and Antony, for example. How energetic do you feel? You could while away some time relaxing in the welcoming local pubs and cafés, or opt for an adventure with some deep-sea shark fishing, kite surfing or coasteering. Or, for something a little different, take the cute ferry from Cremyll to Plymouth, where there are shops galore, as well as the historic Barbican, Plymouth Hoe and the trendy Royal William Yard, a unique location for food and drinks, shopping and events.
