Shepherd's hut in Cornwall: Gorgeous glamping meets rural charm in this delightful retreat for two. Hannah's Haven is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway.
Who doesn't love the simple things in life? Fresh air, good food, a comfy bed and the luxury of having nowhere to be and nothing to do. At Hannah's Haven there's plenty of time to slow down and jump off the bandwagon of modern-day stress. This sweet shepherd's hut (it's named after the owners' daughter) is perched, far from the madding crowd, in a quiet spot within its very own grassy meadow. The traditionally styled barrel-top beauty, painted a soothing sage green, features a timber-clad, open plan living area that's as cosy as can be, with a wooden floor, cream walls and ruched gingham curtains. At one end is the double bed - with a wall-mounted TV/DVD player conveniently within view, and at the other is a kitchen area which comes complete with a small sink and worktop, induction hob, plug-in grill, microwave, kettle and toaster. In between is the dining area, a bistro table with a pair of cane chairs, and a handy-dandy wood-burner-effect electric stove. What more could you possible want? How about an en suite shower-room? This one's a nifty affair, fitting a real flushing WC, a wash-basin and an electric shower all in one convenient and attractive space. Outside, lounge in the sunshine or eat al fresco while enjoying the country views and saying hi to the horses and donkeys. What's more, just steps away you'll find your own large wooden cabin, with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, mini oven and large sink, plus storage space for bikes, wet suits, surfboards or suitcases. Practical and pretty - it's the best of both worlds.
Out and About
This irresistible bolthole is perfectly placed for exploring the attractions of north Cornwall and getting out and about, whether it's walking, surfing, cycling or simply taking in the sights. The village of Porthtowan is just two miles away, with gift shops and cafés, a sandy beach and the much-loved Blue Bar. A short drive away takes you to trendy St Agnes, where you'll find cool bars, boutique shops and loads of great places to eat. Feeling energetic? Get pedalling along the tramways trails and venture as far as Portreath or Devoran. Feeling hungry? Try a takeaway barbecue box from the award-winning Etherington Farm Shop or eat at the friendly Treleigh Arms. Feeling relaxed? That's the spirit! Just while away the time in your lovely shepherd's hut made for two...

Chapel Porth beach near St Agnes is very picturesque with ruins of engine houses, but it can get busy in summer and there are only rocks at high tide, so choose the timing of your visit.
