Safari tent in Cornwall: Say goodbye to stress and hello to glamping luxury. Right off the beaten track, our glamorous safari tent transports you to the wilds of Africa while relaxing in the tranquillity of the countryside.
You'll begin to relax the minute you turn down the long, unmade track that leads to Tembo (Swahili for elephant), set in its beautiful, tree-lined meadow scattered with wild flowers and saplings. Wind through the narrow lane, tunnelling through the trees and feel the excitement grow as you reach the parking-area and catch a glimpse of your luxury glamping retreat, along with its brother Twiga (both have their own private areas and are separate from each other). Surrounded by peace and tranquillity in a rural location yet close to all that this part of north Cornwall has to offer, a holiday at Tembo will be hard to forget.
This spectacular safari tent is super spacious, sleeping up to six people and equipped for all of your family glamping holiday needs. The trendy interior includes quirky reclaimed pallet walls/shelving, chunky furniture and an African-inspired colour scheme. The spacious living area is complete with a cosy sofa, dining table with plenty of room for all, sweet double cabin bed and a handy kitchen with Belfast sink (with cold running water), fridge (with small freezer compartment) and two-ring gas stove - perfect for cooking up a scrummy fry up of a morning. Not forgetting the wood-fired range cooker, which doubles up as the heating and cooking appliance - ensuring cosy evenings and yummy meals.
That's not all though! At the back of the tent there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with bunk beds - and a large shower-room complete with hot and cold running water, proper flushing loo and a double shower cubicle! This really is luxury glamping at its best - there's even access to a shared laundry-room with washing machine and utility sink. Outside is just as special as inside here; from Tembo's wooden deck you can enjoy views over the glamping site to the stunning countryside beyond, a great place to cook up a storm on the barbecue or chill out with a good book. Or perhaps you will prefer to huddle around the fire-pit, toast some s'mores and stargaze at the night's sky. Complete bliss!

Or, if you're after some retail therapy, Cornwall's city of Truro is a short drive away too. You will be spoilt for choice at terrific Tembo.
