Luxury glamping with sea views in Cornwall: When only the best will do, a perfect family break at Mount View Horizon Safari Tent is the answer. Incredible views, superb en suite facilities and - yes, indeed! - a bubblicious hot tub are all included. Pinch yourself - this definitely isn't a dream.

General

Ever wondered what makes the perfect panorama? Try this for size. From the Lizard peninsula in the east to pretty Mousehole in the west, via St Michael's Mount, the gem that sparkles in Mount's Bay, this really has to be one of the best views in the UK. Have breakfast outside on the deck, bask in the sunshine all day from one of the two hammocks and then enjoy a glorious sunset from the hot tub, counting the stars come out and enjoying total tranquillity. Fancy a toasted marshmallow? There's even a fire-pit that you can gather round while telling tall tales and singing campfire songs. Go on. You know you want to.

As suits its one-of-a-kind setting, this spacious safari tent is incredibly special. Pull up at the private parking area and transport your luggage via a wheelbarrow the 100 yards or so to your tent-tastic base, set high above the bay in a pretty wildflower meadow - perfect for kite flying, playing with your pooch or mucking about with the kids (there's a play area tucked away at the top, complete with a trampoline, swing, climbing frame, slide, football goal and badminton/volleyball net). An old-fashioned, back-to-nature holiday at its best. The tent is the furthest in the spacious meadow, with another tent in the middle and a shepherd's hut beyond, but nevertheless it's lovely and private. Inside, you'll love the open-plan layout with a sofa to cuddle up on, a dining table and a wood-fired range (logs are included, btw). The kitchen-area includes a full-sized fridge with small freezer, a microwave and an electric hob, and set to one side is the cutest double cabin bed, with shutters for privacy. There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both with electric heaters for extra cosiness, while at the far end of the tent the modern, en suite shower-room is complete with shower, heated towel rail and separate cloakroom with WC and wash-basin - both of course with running hot and cold water. You want WiFi? You've got it. And last, but definitely not least, there's an on-site honesty shop where you'll find both seasonal goodies and everyday essentials - and even a washing machine as well. This is glamping, don't you know. As luxury as luxury can be.

Out and About

Remote and unspoilt it may be, but you'll always find heaps of great things to do in west Cornwall. The sandy beach at Marazion is close at hand for swimming, sunbathing and sandcastle-building, and you mustn't miss a stroll across the causeway to the unique St Michael's Mount, which is topped with a historic castle (catch the little boat back if the tide comes in!). A ten-minute walk takes you to the fab Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, where you can explore 22 acres of gardens and world-renowned art, not to mention a cool shop and an awesome café. Surfers can ride the waves at nearby Sennen Cove, Gwithian and Porchcurno, or you can swim sedate laps of the wonderful Art Deco lido in Penzance, newly restored and looking beautiful. For shopping, you can't beat St Ives, with its winding streets and great range of boutiques and eateries, while the quaint fishing village of Mousehole, home to excellent galleries, restaurants and pubs, is only a hop away, too. Explore the St Michael's Way footpath or, just a few steps down the road, the local pub, The White Hart, offers food, drink and a warm welcome. And if you're feeling adventurous, why not take the ferry from Penzance and spend a day exploring the amazing Isles of Scilly?
