Shepherd's Hut with hot tub in Somerset: Prepare to be wowed by our handsome hut. He sits in a gloriously serene and secluded spot, surrounded by nothing but nature and beautiful views. Sssssh - can you hear a pin drop?
General
As good-looking as can be, in gorgeous woodland green, Lady's Well Shepherd's Hut sits proudly in its very own Eden: a fully enclosed garden with a deep pond that's fed by a natural spring and a sweet wooden jetty from which to dingle-dangle your feet and your fishing rod. And from the double doors that open directly onto this secluded oasis of calm and quiet, the views (the views!) are uninterrupted over field and farmland, hills and woodland as far as the twinkling sea. Your glamping home-from-home is set in a gentle valley at the edge of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on a farm that's a site of Special Scientific Interest and was once part of the ancient Hutton Estate. Through the trees you can even glimpse the original manor house - but your peace and tranquility will be undisturbed, unless you count the nearby wildlife, which could include anything from deer, foxes and badgers to the kingfishers that visit your pond and the buzzards that soar on the thermals overhead.
It all starts when you park up and load your luggage onto a little cart. Off you whizz across the orchard and field (don't worry, it's not too far) to your beautifully designed and cleverly fitted hut. Inside, there's an open plan space boasting a kitchen with electric cooker (mini oven and double hob), microwave and fridge, a cute dining-area and a comfy king-sized bed with lovely linens. Whatever the time of year you'll be super-cosy with both under-floor heating AND a wood-burner, while in the summer you can relax under the canopy outside and chillax in the sunshine. At dusk, chuck some logs on the fire pit and enjoy the flickering flames and the mood lighting beneath the hut - all designed for a magical evening under the stars. You even have your very own private hot tub, complete with MP3 player fitting so you can enjoy a relaxing soak while listening to your favourite tunes. Needless to say, your luxury camping experience is complete with an en-suite shower-room with a hot shower, flushing loo, wash-basin and heated towel rail and even 4G broadband.
Out and About
If you can drag yourself away from your hut of happiness, there's a long, sandy beach at Weston-super-mare just three miles away. It's Victorian pier and long promenade are the ideal places to blow away those cobwebs. You're also ideally placed to explore Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge, or visit the Cathedral cities of Wells, Glastonbury and Bath. Closer to home there is a village pub, shop and Chinese takeaway just a short stroll away.
Layout
Steps up to open plan living-room with kitchen, dining and bedroom areas with king-size double bed, wood-burner, TV, electric cooker (2 ring hob and mini oven), microwave, fridge (with ice-box), kettle and toaster. Door to Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin.
Special Information
You are welcome to fish in the pond which is about 10 feet deep, but all fish must be safely returned to the water.
Please note due to the location near the pond and the steps up to the hut, Lady's Well Shepherd's Hut is not suitable for children under ten although babies up to six months old (non crawlers) are welcome.
