Safari tent in Cornwall: This seaside safari tent is a perfect home from home, with acres of farmland to explore and just a stone's throw from some brilliant beaches. Back to nature with all mod cons, it's enormous fun for both young and young at heart.

General

Like the idea of camping but don't want to let go of your home comforts? Then Foxglove is the place for you. Picture this…luxury glamping under the stars, in a terrific rural location not only with splendid countryside views but glimpses of the sea in the distance too, in a spacious safari tent complete with comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, hot shower, proper flushing loo and more...sounds good, right?

Foxglove

Within striking distance of the utterly stunning Lamorna Cove AONB, Foxglove will provide an unforgettable break that you will talk fondly about for years to come. Towards the back of this wonderful retreat, there are two cosy bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with twin beds and both with proper, comfy mattresses - accompanied by the sweet double cabin bed in the living area (the kids will love playing hide and seek in here!). As far as it could possibly be from basic, this lovely safari tent is styled with a pretty pink/purple theme and is complete with a well-equipped kitchen (including a wood-fired range - the main cooking and heating appliance, ensuring you are kept toasty all year round, Belfast sink and fridge). Also, in the open plan living space, there is a snug sofa and large dining table, and WiFi is even provided, along with a socket to charge any devices you may have brought along (and to boil the kettle, of course!).

In true luxury glamping style, fabulous Foxglove has an en suite shower-room, with large walk-in shower cubicle and hot water, and cloakroom, with proper flushing WC and hot water too, so there will be no traipsing across a wet field to get to a cold shower/toilet block, not on our watch!

The great outdoors can definitely be enjoyed here - why not have a snooze in the hammock and read a good book on the covered decking before cooking up a scrummy supper on the two-ring camping stove or fire-pit barbecue - bliss! Overlooking Lamorna Valley with sea glimpses, the meadow is not only super-big but it's also car-free (the parking is behind the tents and handy wheelbarrows are provided to help you transport your luggage), making it the ideal place for the kids (and your four-legged friend) to run and play (it does, however, edge onto the main farm entrance, so please be aware that the occasional car or farm vehicle may pass by). There is even an on-site honesty shop, shared with the other two safari tents, chock-full of all the essentials (from eggs to bacon) and sweet treats (such as yummy ice cream).

Fun for All

The owners really have thought of everything here and that doesn't stop at the tent. The children will love the outside play-fort, trampoline, undercover games-room (with mini pool table, table tennis and table football and cinema-room (with Digi box, DVD player and 7 proper cinema seats!). You are welcome to explore not only the eight-acre field Foxglove sits in but the whole surrounding 90 acres of farmland, you may even bump into the owners' friendly dogs, cats or Silver the horse and Tommy and Freddy the Shetland Ponies! A brief walk across the fields will take you to the local pub, the Lamorna Wink, where you can enjoy a yummy meal and a glass of wine or two, or venture a little further through woodland and you will reach Lamorna Cove, with its sandy beach, small quay and café that offers canoe hire.

Out and About

If you can bear to tear yourselves away, there is plenty to see and do close by. Firstly, why not go and see a show at the infamous Minack theatre and visit its stunning neighbour, Porthcurno, with its white sandy beach and turquoise water, while you are there. Nearby Land's End is ever-popular too, along with the sweet village of Mousehole, bustling Penzance, regal St Michael's Mount and the lovely village of St Ives (and its 7 beaches!). For the active, there are plenty of thrilling walks along the nearby stretch of the South West Coast Path and surfing lessons are available at lots of the nearby beaches (Sennen Cove, for example).
