Shepherd's hut with hot tub in Cornwall. A superb hideaway with a hot tub in an unspoilt spot - isn't that just what you need for a relaxing, romantic holiday? We reckon this rural idyll is the ultimate in luxury camping.
Once upon a time you could find shepherd's huts dotted all around the verdant countryside... and these days you can still watch the flocks from the luxurious We Two Shepherd's Hut - they'll be the Owner's rare breed sheep grazing peacefully in their paddocks around you. Set in a tranquil part of south east Cornwall, hidden down a country lane, this gorgeous hut has all the modern glamping comforts you could want, set in a rural idyll that ensures peace and tranquillity for you to kick back and unwind.
High quality craftsmanship is the hallmark of We Two, where you'll find a bespoke fitted kitchen, a superbly comfortable bed and, of course, an en suite shower-room with plenty of hot running water and a real flushing toilet. No attention to detail has been spared, from door latches to pretty curtains, artworks and accessories. There is plenty of room for you to stow away your stuff, including a wardrobe and two storage benches, and you'll be amazed at how easy it is to tuck away your bed and transform the sleeping area into a cosy seating and dining space. There's WiFi if you need it, and a wood-burner for snuggly nights in - whatever the weather is doing outside. Enjoy a lazy morning in bed and enjoy the views without stirring from the spot, or stroll across the path and put your feet up in your own cute little summerhouse, where you can be close to nature in the warm and dry. The private outdoor space at We Two is a delight, with pretty pot plants and rustic artefacts, and even a beehive-shaped welly store. You could while away the hours with a good book on the swing seat, conjure up some culinary delights on the firepit (toasted marshallows, anyone?) or sit back and relax in the bubbling hot tub. Breathe in the fresh air, listen to birdsong and, at dusk, watch the stars come out one by one. And if you don't fancy experimenting with the Dutch oven, don't worry - there's a two-ring hob and a slow cooker inside, along with a fridge, toaster and kettle for ultimate convenience.
Out and About
Right on your doorstep at We Two are the Owner's 24 acres of woodland and paddocks, which you can explore to your heart's content, winding your way through the trees and along the valley, watching out for local wildlife as you go. The great houses of Lanhydrock and Cotehele are well worth a visit and, for more fabulous walks and spectacular scenery, venture out to the glorious Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. Beach lovers might fancy a trip to the fabulous surfing beaches on the nearby north coast, garden lovers will enjoy the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Garden House at Buckland Monachorum and, for coastal charm, don't miss the lovely harbour towns of Fowey and Looe on the south coast.
Steps up to Shepherd's Hut with open plan living-room with kitchen, dining and bedroom areas. Wood-burner, 2 ring hob, slow cooker, fridge, toaster, kettle and double bed. Shower-room with shower, WC and wash-basin.
